Abstract
The 17th annual Ultrapure Water Micro conference (UPW Micro) examined key business and semiconductor water treatment trends. The meeting, conducted Dec. 2-3, 2014, at the Mesa-Phoenix Hilton Hotel featured technical presentations, a Round Table session, and tabletop exhibits by key suppliers of semiconductor water treatment products and services, including METTLER-TOLEDO Thornton. Slava Libman, PhD, the director of advanced water analysis at Air Liquide-Balazs NanoAnalysis, and Dan Wilcox, facilities engineering manager at Samsung Austin Semiconductor, were co-moderators for the meeting, which had four technical sessions. Meeting presenters included endusers, consultants, and semiconductor water experts from suppliers. This article will provide an overview of the conference and brief overviews of some presentations.
