Abstract

Estimates of the size of the global water business vary, but some sources place the global market for all categories between $400 billion to $500 billion. That figure would include water and wastewater utilities, construction, treatment technologies, water delivery (i.e., infrastructure), and a general category of ﾓotherﾔ areas. From this macro view of the water market, one can then look at some specific areas that involve the high-purity water field. This article, which is in part based on presentations given at recent conferences sponsored by Tall Oaks Publishing, examines some details of the water business.
