But is the Water Trust Worthy?
By Mike Henley
Abstract
Trust. This is a simple 5-letter word that conveys much depth and actually touches the heart of water treatment—whether in a semiconductor or pharmaceutical plant, a municipal drinking water plant, a cooling tower, or a wastewater facility.
While an important concept throughout the water world, perhaps trust takes on its ultimate meaning in the pharmaceutical water arena. Healthcare is highly personal, and even one tainted element such as infected Water for Injection (WFI) or medicines can be deadly. Anyone who has sat with a loved one in a hospital or emergency room, or other care facility wants to trust that the dripping IV with WFI is sterile and free from microbials and endotoxins, any of which can cause serious health problems or even lead to death.
