Abstract
What will the future of the water business look like? One approach could be a shift in paradigm from the concept of モwater huntingヤ to モwater cultivationヤ, according to Michael LoCascio (1), a senior analyst with Lux Research, who spoke at the 2009 WATER EXECUTIVE Forum, which was conducted here March 30-31. This article will review Mr. LoCascioメs presentation, as well as others given at the conference. Part 1 (May issue) of this series examined presentations by financial experts who follow the water business, while Part 2 (July issue) examined water infrastructure spending, which is being increased as a part of the governmentメs attempt to improve the economy since the continuing downturn, that began late last fall.
