CHEMICAL TREATMENT COOLING TOWERS MARKETS MEMBRANES PETROLEUM PRODUCED WATER
Abstract
Specialty chemicals and water treatment equipment. Those are the two key aspects to the business model that characterizes the business of U.S. Water Services Inc., which is based in St. Michael, Minn. The company was launched in 1997 by CEO Allan Bly, who previously had 14 years of sales experience with Nalco. He began the venture with the help of a couple of former Nalco colleagues. From the beginning, the company has sought to have an integrated approach to the water business that incorporates both specialty water treatment chemicals with equipment. From $0 in revenues and zero customers, U.S. Water has grown to currently have 300 employees and to post annual sales of nearly $100 million. The privately held firm is not required to report earnings. U.S. Waterメs business involves working to provide water treatment solutions to its customers through specialty chemicals and equipment such as reverse osmosis systems, among others. The firm is now moving to become a national water company with a growing international business. To achieve this goal, the company has made several acquisitions in recent years to expand its market presence. In the last 2 years, U.S. Water has made 5 acquisitions. Those acquisitions include Solen in the Southeastern U.S.; Triton in Northern California; and in the Pacific NorthwestラWellons Water, Mount Hood Solutions, and RealChem. Solen, Wellons, RealChem, and Mount Hood Solutions are specialty treatment chemical suppliers. Triton blends specialty water treatment chemicals as well as chemical treatments for the food processing industry. Denver-based Excellere Partners has assisted the company with its recent purchases.
