Abstract
In recent centuries, the world has become increasingly urbanized and today, more than 50% of the global population lives in cities. As cities grow, water demand also increases rapidly and urban water resource management becomes an increasingly critical issue. For a city like Singapore, managing water demand is a key challenge in the face of a rapidly growing population, the sustenance of booming industries, and the development of infrastructure.
