Abstract
How do you know if your water is safe to drink, good enough to use for your sensitive process, pure enough to recycle or reuse, or clean enough to return to the river or municipality? The possible contaminations of concern include organics, salts, particles, and microbes. If the organic content in your water is important, then the most common and useful way to measure it is using total organic carbon (TOC) analysis.
