Abstract
ULTRAPURE WATER Pharma 2010, conducted here May 20-21, focused on key topics for successful pharmaceutical water treatment. Among topics covered by the meeting were USP/global requirements for pharmaceutical waters, microbiological control, rouge, water system expansion/upgrades, and ozone versus hot water sanitization. The meeting, which was co-chaired by Anthony Bevilacqua, Ph.D., of Mettler-Toledo Thornton and Andrew Collentro of Water Consulting Specialists, also included a roundtable discussion, and tabletop exhibits. This is Part 1 of a two article series that briefly summarizes several presentations given at the conference.
