Abstract
There are many industrial wastewater treatment processes that employ nanofiltration (NF) or reverse osmosis (RO) membranes. Nearly every application is unique, depending on the processes and water sources employed by the industrial client. The treatment of the inorganic constituents tends to be more straight-forward, while the treatment of the organic contaminants can be very complex and difficult. This is a result of the vast array of organic chemicals that may be present, and how they interact with the membrane.
